Silver Ferns must learn to win games that count

7:10 am on 6 September 2010

The New Zealand netball coach Ruth Aitken says the Silver Ferns must learn to adjust their style of play to the umpires interpretations after losing the final game of the three test series against Australia 46-40 in Auckland last night.

The Diamonds wrapped up the inaugural Constellation Cup two games to one after the Ferns capitulated in the final quarter of last night's test to hand the series to Australia.

It was a disappointing result for the Ferns who thumped their Trans-tasman rivals last Thursday and with October's Commonwealth Games just around the corner Aitken says they need to quickly learn how to beat Australia in the matches that count.
