Warriors opponents not in great shape

6:12 am on 7 September 2010

The Warriors NRL playoff opponents this weekend the Gold Coast Titans, are not in great shape, with coach John Cartwright expected to name today seven injured players in his squad of 17.

The Titans match-winner, the dimunitive fullback Preston Campbell, has already volunteered to return off the bench at Skilled Park on Friday night, because he's not sure how his injured hamstring will stand up, and another key back Scott Prince says he'll need an injection in his shoulder and play with it strapped.

But the Titans veteran Matt Rogers, who has a hip injury himself, says no matter who takes the field on Friday night, the Titans will be backing themselves after emerging a year older and wiser following their spectacular finals freefall last year.

Their team will be finalised on Thursday.
