Luck returns for Warriors

6:43 pm on 7 September 2010

Loose forward Micheal Luck returns to the Warriors in the only change to the starting line-up for Friday night's week first National Rugby league finals clash against Gold Coast in Queensland.

The 28-year-old 193-game veteran missed the wins over Brisbane and Parramatta after being sidelined with an ugly gash in his left thigh in the round 24 match against Manly.

Luck's made a surprisingly swift recovery, but says he isn't surprised how well the side defended without him..

He says that's what wins matches and what will be needed to counter a strike with the tthe Titans' ability to strike from all over the park.

Luck puts the the Warriors' improved defence down to the enforced depth they've developed this season due to their horrific injury toll.

Theyleave tomorrow morning after qualifying for the post-season in fifth with 14 wins and 10 losses, their best record in seven years.

It's the third time in the last four seasons the Warriors have reached the playoffs and the sixth time since 2001 but they lost to the Titans at Skilled Park in March and at Mt Smart last month.
