Fifty nations have confirmed they'll take part in the world rowing champs which will begin on Lake Karapiro at the end of next month.

The biggest three teams will be from Germany, Great Britain and the United States.

New Zealand will have 18 crews and 55 athletes competing, including entries in thirteen of the fourteen Olympic classes.

Event chief executive Tom Mayo says with more than a month to go before entries close, the total number of countries competing could yet rise.
