Dave Currie says let NZOC do the worrying

The head of New Zealand's Commonwealth Games team says it's unfortunate that athletes are having to prepare for competition in New Delhi amid continuing uncertainty about their security, health and the state of venues.

Chef de Mission Dave Currie says while that's clearly a concern the NZOC has a good track record for giving sound advice and it should be doing the worrying:.

Currie says they've assured athletes their families and their sports that if they have a concern they'll share it and if if they're not comfortable they either won't go or they'll leave.

He says they want to take the pressure off athletes and hope they have enough faith in the NZOC.
