Canberra prepared to face half-fit Benji Marshall on Friday

The Canberra Raiders expect Wests Tigers to field their Kiwi league star Benji Marshall even if he's only "half-fit" after he said he'd play in pain to help rescue the Tigers' faltering NRL finals campaign.

Scans have cleared the Kiwis skipper of major damage to the medial ligament he bruised in Saturday night's qualifying loss to the Sydney Roosters, but Marshall has admitted he'll need every minute of his side's short preparation to get on the field against the Raiders in Friday night's semi-final.

Marshall said he was still in pain as he sat out yesterday's training run, but with the Tigers playing in the finals for the first time since 2005, he's desperate to play.
