In an unusual case the Australian swimmer Ryan Napoleon is poised to retake his place at the Commonwealth Games after his doping suspension for using a wrongly-labelled asthma inhaler was brought forward.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has back-dated Napoleon's three-month ban, imposed last month by swimming's governing body FINA, to June the 15th, which means it ended yesterday.

20 year old Napoleon's place in the Australian Games team should be formalised today.
