New Zealand Cricket hopes a venue for the second test against India in November will be finalised as soon as possible.
The Indian city of Hyderabad has volunteered to host the test after two previous cities made themselves unavailable.
Lucknow and Eden Gardens in Kolkata both made themselves unavailable because of ongoing renovation work ahead of next year's World Cup.
Kanpur is scheduled to take the match but that is yet to be finalised as so Hyderabad has made the latest offer.... the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad was just given test status this year.
Heath Mills of the Cricket Players Association and New Zealand Cricket General Manager Geoff Allott are in Zimbabwe checking things ahead of the New Zealand A teams trip there next month and they'll also visit India to check on arrangements, including the pending decision on where the second test will be held.
The two confirmed venues for the India-New Zealand Test series are Ahmedabad and Nagpur.
In July the third test was shifted from Mumbai to Nagpur because of ongoing renovations at Wankhede Stadium.
