The new US Open tennis champion Rafael Nadal is guaranteed to see out this year on top of the world rankings.
The 24-year-old Spaniard has been virtually unstoppable since the beginning of the European claycourt season, and the ATP says after winning the last three major titles this year he's so far ahead in the rankings he'll still be number one going into 2011.
Nadal and Roger Federer are the only players since 2000 to clinch the year-end top spot so early.
