Stats suggest Tigers won't beat Raiders without their Kiwi skipper

Statistics suggest that West Tigers' injured star Benji Marshall must play in tonight's National Rugby League semi-final in Canberra, otherwise the odds are heavily stacked against them.

The Sydney Morning Herald has revealed that since the 25 year old Kiwis captain made his NRL debut in 2003, the Tigers have won seven out of seven matches against the Raiders with him in the side .... but they have lost four from five without him.

Marshall's fitness to play will be a last minute decision although his injured knee stood up to training yesterday, raising hopes that he will take the field tonight.
