New Zealand squash player Jaclyn Hawkes' first match at the World Open in Egypt will be against Australia's Donna Urquhart.

The 26-year-old from Auckland is ranked 14th in the world and is seeded 15th for the tournament.

Joelle King, who beat Hawkes for the womens' national title in August, will play Engy Kheirallah, one of six Egyptians who made the finals' main draw.

Twenty-one-year-old King is ranked 20th in the world.

A former champion, Australia's Rachael Grinham, has had to pull out on the eve of the event, as she has failed to recover from a calf injury.
