Roosters confident ahead of NRL Panthers clash

4:38 pm on 18 September 2010

The Sydney fullback, Anthony Minichiello, says the Roosters are wary but ready for tonight's do-or-die National Rugby League semi-final against the Penrith Panthers.

Sydney have practically their full squad available, while injuries have put a severe dent in the Panthers' premiership aspirations, including the loss of their impact back-rowers, Trent Waterhouse and Frank Pritchard.

Minichiello says while the Roosters are confident, Penrith's enforced line-up changes won't necessarily make the job easier.

He says many of those coming into the side for the game, such as Waterhouse's replacement Nathan Smith, are seasoned first-graders who will play a strong role for the Panthers, and Sydney must be wary.
