The Czech Republic has taken a 2-1 lead over Serbia in their Davis Cup World Group semi-final, after Tomas Berdych and Radek Stepanek won the doubles match against Nenad Zimonjic and Novak Djokovic.

Although they faced world doubles number three, Zimonjic and fit-again Djokovic, the Czechs showed remarkable composure in a raucous atmosphere to outclass the home team.

The Czech duo fought back from a set down, to win 3-6 6-1 6-4 6-1 after two hours and 38 minutes, and stay on course to reach their second successive Davis Cup final.

The Czechs need to win just one of the final two singles games to reach the final, while Serbia needs to win both to face France for the Davis Cup.
