Pakistan cricket matches will go ahead

4:27 pm on 19 September 2010

The England and Wales Cricket Board has revealed that no England players or officials are implicated in the new spot-fixing allegations that emerged last night and confirmed that Pakistan's tour will continue for the final two one-day internationals.

The ICC earlier announced it had launched an investigation into the third ODI between England and Pakistan at the Oval after receiving information from The Sun newspaper prior to the game alleging that bookies were aware of certain scoring patterns that occurred during the match.

The latest allegations came three weeks after the News of the World broke the initial spot-fixing story during the Lord's Test where Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif allegedly delivered no-balls on demand.

The final two matches will be played at Lord's tomorrow night and the Rose Bowl on Wednesday.
