Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov completed a stunning hat-trick six minutes from time to give Manchester United a 3-2 English Premier League football win over arch-rivals Liverpool this morning after a Steven Gerrard double looked set to earn the visitors a draw.
Late equalisers against Everton and Fulham had cost United wins earlier in the season, but Berbatov sealed the win completing his hattrick with a powerful header.
The United captain, Nemanja Vidic says the result was a fair reflection of proceedings.
The win lifts United to second equal with Arsenal.
In the morning's other matches Chelsea brushed aside Blackpool 4-nil to maintain a four point lead at the top of the table, and Manchester City remain in fourth place after beating Wigan 2-nil.
