One of the biggest teams that will attend next month's World Rowing Championships on Lake Karapiro has been announced with Great Britain sending 61 athletes.

Great Britain head to New Zealand as overall winners of the World Cup circuit and at the final Rowing World Cup in Lucerne the team finished with 11 medals out of the 14 Olympic events, four of them gold.

Anna Watkins and Katherine Grainger, who picked up gold in both the women's double sculls and women's quadruple sculls at the final Rowing World Cup, have been selected to race just in the double in New Zealand.

Despite post-Lucerne speculation about the future of men's pair, Andrew Triggs Hodge and Peter Reed, the pair remain together. They've been beaten into second by New Zealanders Eric Murray and Hamish Bond for the last two years and there was talk that they may go back into the men's four.

The World Champion men's four, however, will stay intact and defend their title at Lake Karapiro.

The 1992 Olympic Champion Greg Searle remains in the men's eight.
