The Welsh cyclist Geraint Thomas has become the latest high profile athlete to withdraw from the Commonwealth Games.

The 24 year old Beijing Olympic champion was one of Wales' best medal prospects in the individual pursuit, the road race and the time trial.

Thomas says it's a massive disappointment but the risk of getting ill was also massive.

Three of his teammates in the cycling squad have also decided to stay at home, citing the danger of dengue fever.
