The Tall Blacks and Breakers shooting guard Kirk Penney says he doesn't know how long his quest to secure a contract in the NBA will take.
Penney's trialling with the San Antonio Spurs, and he left appealing to his Breakers club and the fans to understand his pursuit of a dream for a second stint in basketball's ultimate league.
Penney was the second highest scorer at the recent world champs in Turkey and his Breakers' contract has an out clause in case he gets a big team offer.
The 29-year-old had short stints with the Miami Heat in 2003 and the Los Angeles Clippers in 2004.
