Star fullback Steyn finished with Springboks?

The South African fullback Francois Steyn says he's willing to put his international rugby career on hold to focus on his French club duties.

Steyn, a key member of the 2007 World Cup-winning side, hit out at South Africa coach Peter de Villiers for skipping a meeting they were supposed to have last week.

Steyn says De Villiers cancelled a planned meeting with him and his club in Paris and claims the Springbok coach lacks respect for both him and his club Racing Metro.

He says he doesn't expect anything from the Springboks anymore and he's moved on.

The 23-year-old has had a difficult relationship with De Villiers, who last month hinted that he did not have the heart to play for his country.

Steyn was left out of the Springbok's squad for the Tri-Nations but was recalled for the home leg of the tournament and he featured at fullback in the 44-31 victory over Australia in late August.

Steyn, however, has not ruled out participating in the 2011 World Cup.
