Black Sticks men record draw in Games warm-up

The New Zealand men's hockey team have drawn 2-2 with Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur in the first of two Test matches against the Asia nation in the Black Sticks build up games to the Commonwealth Games.

With the score 2-0 to Malaysia at half-time, Shane McLeod's team were made to fight hard to even the score.

The draw came in the dying stages of the match, with Hugo Inglis and Nick Wilson both scoring in the final 10 minutes.

They square off in the second Test tonight.

The Black Sticks will also play a friendly against the Malaysian men's junior team on Wednesday to round off their stay in Malaysia, before flying to Delhi on Thursday.
