It's been a shaky return to the ATP tennis tour for last year's US Open mens champion Juan Martin del Potro.
The 22 year old Argentine lost his opening match at the Thailand Open to the Belgian Olivier Rochus 7-6 6-4.
del Potro has been off the scene since January with a wrist injury that required surgery, and his world ranking has slipped to 36. He's in Asia in a bid to regain his form before the Shanghai Masters starting on the 10th of next month.
