AFL grand finalists rewarded for inconvenience

The Collingwood and St Kilda Aussie Rules clubs have been handsomely rewarded for last weekend's drawn AFL grand final, each receiving $850,000 for the match, and an additional $500,000 for the inconvenience of having to replay the match.

And the financial rewards will only continue, with the winner of Saturday's replay to receive $1.1 million and the losing club $600,000.

The AFL will also make a contribution of $100,000 to each of four charities supported by the AFL and its players.
