The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad will host the second test between India and New Zealand in November.
The venue for the test has only just been finalised as a number of previous grounds had fallen through as they were undergoing renovations ahead of next year's World Cup.
It will be the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium's first test after gaining test status in June.
Hyderabad last hosted a test in 1988, also involving New Zealand.
The first test will be played in Ahmedabad and the third test in Nagpur.
