The Bay of Plenty rugby side has jumped into semi-final contention in the provincial rugby championship after scoring a rare victory in Wellington.
The Bay beat Wellington 31-24 for just their second ever victory in the capital.
The result moves them into third place for now and coach Sean Horan says it puts them into a situation where they can press home an advantage.
The Bay has a reasonable run home with matches against Tasman, Southland and Northland.
Meanwhile the loss for Wellington could result in them being outside the top seven by the time round 10 is completed.
