Webber won't take cautious approach at japan Grand Prix

The Australian Formula One driver Mark Webber has no intention of taking a cautious approach to next weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, as he focuses on gathering more points in his bid to win the world title.

The 34-year-old Red Bull driver is 11 points clear of the two-time champion, Spaniard Fernando Alonso of Ferrari, and 20 ahead of Briton Lewis Hamilton of McLaren.

Webber says he's pleased to have a little buffer at the top of the points right now, but he still plans to go out and give it his all, at the risk of losing some ground if he doesn't pull it off.

Webber admitted that on current form it's the resurgent Ferrari team of Alonso who's gained the momentum, after winning twice in succession and three times in the last five races.

But he says there are still a lot of drivers fighting for the title and anything can happen in Japan.
