Ryder Cup facing more delays

8:42 pm on 3 October 2010

Golf's Ryder Cup could face further weather delays, after the start of the third day's play was postponed again, when torrential rain left the Celtic Manor course waterlogged.

Organisers will make a further announcement in about an hours time, with play not expected to resume until midnight at the earliest.

Spectators have been told to stay at home and await further information before travelling to the course.

The U.S. holders lead 6-4 overall, but are trailing in all six matches, two foursomes and four fourballs, when fading light ended play yesterday.
