Mitchell helps Australia fightback in Mohali

The Australian cricketers have a 23-run lead after the third day of the opening Test against India at Mohali.

Replying to Australia's first innings total of 428, India were cruising at 354 for four before losing six wickets in the final session to fold for 405.

Mitchell Johnson took his sixth five-wicket haul.

Four Indian batsmen registered half-centuries and one of them, Sachin Tendulkar with 98, narrowly missed his 49th Test hundred.
