Reds stay put

6:29 am on 5 October 2010

A plan to return the Reds to their spiritual home of Ballymore can been filed away after Queensland Rugby finalised a new agreement to play the Super 15 team's home games at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.

There had been talk that the Reds would play at the smaller inner suburban ground if they could not strike an improved hiring agreement at the world class facility.

Suncorp Stadium's general manager Alan Graham says the Queensland Government redeveloped the stadium so it could host premium events and the inclusion of eight Reds games is an important addition to next year's schedule.

The Reds' Super 15 programme starts against the Western Force on February 20.
