The England rugby player, Danny Cipriani, is proving to be a Rebel by name and nature, after failing to show at Melbourne's Super 15 pre-season team conference.
The majority of the 32-man squad assembled in Melbourne for the naming of the team's naming-rights sponsor, before they head down the Victorian coast for a four-day workshop.
But the former England five-eighth was a no-show, after encountering problems with his visa.
The Rebels coach, Rob Macqueen, says he's disappointed with Cipriani, who's had since February to get his paperwork in order.
Macqueen says they're working together with Cipriani's management to get the issue resolved.
The players expected to arrive in Australia next week.
