Vettori says Black Caps have to target Shakib

The New Zealand cricket captain Dan Vettori says the Black Caps have to nullify the Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan if they're to square the five-match one day series in game two on Friday.

Shakib showed why he heads the ICC's one day all-rounder rankings, hitting 58 off 51 to steer his side to a competitive 228 all out, then taking four wickets to restrict New Zealand to 200 for eight chasing a rain-revised target of 210 in 37 overs.

New Zealand's captain Dan Vettori says the hosts can thank Shakib for their second win in 18 one day matches against the Black Caps.

Dan Vettori took two for 29 but the other bowlers weren't as accurate, conceding nine wides.
