Intikab brought back to manage Pakistan

The former Pakistan cricket captain Intikab Alam has been re-appointed manager of the national team, replacing Yawar Saeed who stepped down after the tour of England which was marred by spot-fixing allegations.

68-year-old Alam was seen as the likely candidate to replace Saeed, who was blamed for not being able to handle the off-field problems on the England tour.

Meanwhile, the PCB have ommitted the former captain Shoaib Malik from their 15-man squad and also delayed naming a captain for their neutral venue series against South Africa starting later this month.
