Smeltz keeping quiet about China

6:03 am on 8 October 2010

The All Whites striker Shane Smeltz says he should be over a slight hamstring injury he's been nursing since his last match for his new club in Turkey in time to turn out against Honduras and Paraguay.

After his move from the Gold Coast to China and controversial return to Queensland, Smeltz remains relcutant to discuss the reasons for his decsion to quit the Chinese club Shandong Luneng.

But he says he's settled in well with his Ankara-based Turkish Super League side Genclerbirligi, who were two games into the season when he arrived and he's been too busy to think about the World Cup or anything else.

The All Whites play Honduras at North Harbour Stadium on Saturday night and Paraguay in Wellington on Tuesday night.
