Herbert warns against playing like Brazil

The All Whites captain Ryan Nelsen is warning of over-expectation ahead of Saturday's friendly with Honduras in Auckland, and his coach echoes those concerns.

Nelsen claims New Zealand are the underdogs and they'll have to graft and grind if they're to get a win, while coach Ricki Herbert's also wary of the Central Americans.

Honduras are surprisingly ranked three places below the All Whites at 52nd in the world, but Herbert's well aware they'll be a handful at North Harbour Stadium.

He says he expects an energetic and competitive Hondurus team to turn up on Saturday, and the All Whites will have to be careful not to get distracted by the Central American flair.

Paraguay follow Honduras on Tuesday in Wellington.
