The New Zealand footballers are disappointed they only managed a 1-1 draw with Honduras in their international friendly at Auckland's North Harbour Stadium.
The All Whites led 1-0 at the half-time break after a goal to Chris Wood, but the side blew their best chance to win the match when striker Shane Smeltz missed a penalty late in the second half.
New Zealand coach Ricki Herbert says the All Whites should have come out on top, and the way they played in the first half were unlucky not to be 3-0 or 4-0 up.
But Herbert says the draw wasn't a bad effort from a side which hasn't played together for four months.
The All Whites' next opponents, Paraguay, were beaten 1-0 in Sydney by Australia.
New Zealand play the South Americans in Wellington on Tuesday, while Honduras face Guatemala in Los Angeles the same day.
