Singaporean confirms bid for Liverpool

The Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim has confirmed his interest in Liverpool football club with an all-cash offer of 320 million pounds, while the club has been arguing in a London court that they should be able to sell for an already agreed, but lower price.

American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett are trying to block the club's sale after the board agreed on a 300 million-pound deal with American John Henry, the owner of the Boston Red Sox, against their will.

The High Court case will go a long way to determining whether England's most successful club goes into administration and faces a nine-point deduction.

Liverpool are currently in the Premier League's relegation zone.
