Maori name strong squad for England match

New Kiwis Lewis Brown and Sam McKendry have been included in the New Zealand Maori rugby league side to take on England in Auckland on Saturday night.

The Warriors backrower Brown, Penrith prop McKendry and Brisbane winger Antonio Winterstein were the new faces named in the Kiwis' 2010 Four Nations squad last week.

While they won't be making their debuts for the Kiwis in their one-off Test against Samoa in Saturday night's main game at Mt Smart Stadium, the Kiwis coach Stephen Kearney says playing for the Maori is a huge honour.

They'll be on the interchange bench in a strong squad led by 22-Test veteran Clinton Toopi and packed with NRL stars, among them Kevin Locke, Aaron Heremaia and Russell Packer from the Warriors.
