The Texas Rangers baseball team have advanced to the American League Championship, after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 5-1 in game five, and clinching their American League Division series
The Rangers, who had been the only major league franchise to never win a playoff series, will meet the New York Yankees in game one of the Championship Series at the weekend.
