The Australian cricketing great Shane Warne says he's explained his Tweets criticising Ricky Ponting to the Test captain.
Warne sent a series of Tweets during the fifth day of Australia's seven-wicket second Test loss to India in Bangalore criticising the fields Ponting had set for off-spinner Nathan Hauritz.
But Warne says he'd explained to Ponting the Tweets were a response to fans asking his opinions and the pair had discussed the issue.
He says they're mates and are going to disagree at times but it doesn't mean they suddenly hate each other.
Ponting responded after the Test loss to India, saying Hauritz's fields were all of his own choosing.
Warne says despite the 2-nil series loss to the India which has seen Australia drop to fifth on the world Test rankings, he' still confident Australia can beat England in the upcoming Ashes series.
