The new Perth Glory football coach Ian Ferguson says he saw glimpses in his side's 2-1 loss to North Queensland that give him hope for the remainder of the A-League season.
After five losses in a row, which culminated with Ferguson replacing Dave Mitchell as coach during the week, the Glory desperately needed a win to get their campaign back on track.
But Friday's match finished with yet another loss for Glory, who're slipping down the table.
Ferguson says the result wasn't great, but he's pretty pleased with the performance in patches of the game.
He says the key is to be more consistent, as well as improving in their defence and midfield.
He says it'll be a challenge for the side, but it's one he's looking forward to.
