Tuqiri on verge of rugby history

The West Tigers winger Lote Tuqiri is set to make rugby history having been called into the Australian league squad for the Four Nations championship.

31-year-old Tuqiri has been named to replace the injured Jarryd Hayne, and if he gets on the field during the Four Nations the Fijian-born flier will become the first dual-international in history to go from playing for the Kangaroos, then the Wallabies and back to the Kangaroos again.

It caps a spectacular return to rugby league for Tuqiri, after he was controversially sacked by the Australian Rugby Union in 2009.
