Black Caps have the chance to redeem themselves

The New Zealand Cricket chief executive Justin Vaughan says the players in the national side are being given the chance to redeem themselves, following a board decision not to make any changes to the structure of the side.

Captain Dan Vettori and coach Mark Greatbatch met with the board in Wellington this week to discuss the 4-0 series loss to Bangladesh.

The New Zealand Cricket board's decided to set up a cricket committee to review the management structure of the Blacks Caps but that won't happen until after next month's tour.

Vaughan says they need to see improvement in India but it won't be defined by the number of games they win or lose because India's the number one ranked team and they're formidable at home.

But he says they want to see some real fight and better batting from the top order as they cannot accept a repeat of what happened in Bangladesh and the latter part of the series in Sri Lanka as well.
