Chelsea's impressive home record in English Premier League football continues with a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in London.

The champions have yet to concede a goal at Stamford Bridge and a club record eighth consecutive home clean sheet helped Chelsea open a five-point lead above Manchester City at the top of the table.

Tottenham Hotspur drew 1-0 with Everton to move into third place for 24 hours, while West Bromwich Albion beat Fulham 2-1 to go fourth, also albeit temporarily. Spurs are now fourth and West Brom fifth after Monday's results.

West Ham lost to visitors Newcastle 2-1 but there were no other away wins in Sunday's other results.

Birmingham City beat Blackpool 2-0, Sunderland saw off Aston Villa 1-0, while Wigan Athletic drew 1-0 with Bolton Wanderers.
