The Australian rugby league team got their Four Nations campaign off to a solid if unspectacular start as the Kangaroos cruised past Papua New Guinea with a 42-0 win at Parramatta Stadium last night.
Already the most-capped player and captain in the green and gold, Darren Lockyer surpassed Ken Irvine with his 34th Test try, one of eight four-pointers the Kangaroos scored in what was a rusty performance.
There were seven different tryscorers in all with Willie Tonga grabbing a double, while Lote Tuqiri was only member of the Australian backline not to score.
