Man City, Man United and Arsenal level second in EPL

11:40 am on 25 October 2010

The Arsenal football club overwhelmed a 10-man Manchester City 3-0 while Manchester United secured a 2-1 win at Stoke City with two goals from Wayne Rooney's stand-in Javier Hernandez to leave all three clubs level second on the Premier League ladder.

Arsenal, City and United are all on 17 points with Premier League leaders Chelsea on 22.

Gary Neville made his 600th appearance for United and was nearly sent off and then replaced at half-time.

Nonetheless he was delighted his side resisted the Stoke comeback.

In the morning's other match Liverpool claimed just their second win of the season when they beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Anfield, with Fernando Torres among the scorers.

The All Whites skipper Ryan Nelsen was again absent for Rovers as he continues to recover from a thigh injury sustained in his time back in New Zealand.
