The incumbent All Black No.12 Ma'a Nonu admits he's looking over his shoulder at the challenge for his jersey coming from new cap Sonny Bill Williams.
Nonu says Williams is enormous and the giant second-five's taken rugby union on quickly after defecting from league.
But the Wellington midfielder claims he never takes his starting position for granted, it's good competition having Williams there, and he'll go along with whatever's best for the team.
Ma'a Nonu says he won't be holding back from sharing his experience, he's still learning himself and can pick up things from the Canterbury tyro's game.
The 52-Test veteran notes that Williams' offloading and support play are outstanding.
