So'oialo unlikely to be picked for Wellington

Despite making himself available the former All Black loose forward Rodney So'oialo is unlikely to make the Wellington side to take on Canterbury in their NPC semi-final this weekend.

So'oialo hasn't played since injuring his shoulder 7 weeks ago.

The Wellington coach Andre Bell has indicated that he's unlikely to pick the 31-year-old, who was named as captain of Wellington for the campaign, but who has played just 3 matches this season.

Bell says So'oialo probably hasn't done enough to gain selection to the 22 ahead of Victor Vito, Faifili Levave or Brad Shields.

Both the Wellington and Canterbury teams will be named today for Friday night's semi-final.
