Indian business is about to enter the English premier football league.

Blackburn Rovers are hoping the sale of their club to the Indian conglomerate Venkys will be completed in November with the investors expecting to seal a 100-million dollar deal for the Premier League side.

Venkys specialises in poultry farming but it's diverse interests also include pharmaceuticals.

One of the companies senior executives says they're prepared to invest in Blackburn Rovers beyond the purchase price.

Blackburn, the club of the All Whites skipper Ryan Nelsen, are only one place above the relegation zone with only nine points from as many games.
