Enforced rest day for NZ mens team at world amateur

8:23 am on 28 October 2010

The New Zealand mens amateur golf team has had an enforced rest day on the eve of the world teams championship in Buenos Aires.

Team captain John Gatley says Ryan Fox, Ben Campbell and Peter Spearman-Burn have impressed in practice on the two tournament courses, but they haven't been able to practice today because it's census day in Argentina, and everything's closed.

70 countries will compete for the Eisenhower Trophy which New Zealand won in 1992 in Vancouver.
