Shoulder injury rules Wilkinson out of All Blacks clash

First five Jonny Wilkinson has been ruled out of England's November rugby internationals with a shoulder injury.

Wilkinson, who complained of soreness in the shoulder earlier in the week, will be replaced by the experienced Charlie Hodgson.

The injury, the latest of many in Wilkinson's illustrious career, comes as a particular blow as he has been playing well for French club Toulon and was hoping to challenge for a place in the starting lineup which is likely to go to Toby Flood.

England play the first of their matches against the All Blacks at Twickenham on November the 6th with further home games to come against Samoa and South Africa.

Hendre Fourie of Leeds and David Wilson of Bath have both returned to training, while Riki Flutey and Simon Shaw of London Wasps were continuing their rehab programmes.
