Mealamu hearing set for Wednesday morning

10:38 am on 9 November 2010

The All Blacks should know tomorrow morning whether Keven Mealamu will be able to play in the rest of the Grand Slam tour.

The veteran hooker's striking charge is to be heard in front of an International Rugby Board Judicial Officer, Professor Lorne Crerar of Scotland.

Mealamu's been charged after being cited for head-butting England's captain Lewis Moody during the All Blacks win at Twickenham and faces a mimnium month-long ban if he's found guilty. He says the incident was not intentional

The hearing's scheduled to start at eight o'clock tomorrow morning in Glasgow with Mealamu represented by the NZRU's UK-based lawyer Owen Eastwood and Steve Hansen.
